On the 17th day of Christmas...

Paul and his Pissanlet (and Mesclun)!

Those with any Italian blood might know that this is Dandelion leaf and the name literally means 'Wee-the-bed" from the fairytale story told to children.

Hopefully there wont be any of that over this festive season!

We have Sean and Rev from the Saddleworth Cheese Company,

We shared our stand with these boys at last years Northern Bar and Restaurant Show and since then they've become rather famous for their fab cheeses which are somewhat saucily named...

Breast Cancer Campaign Day

Last month was Breast Cancer Campaign's awareness month. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer and here at Noone's we are no different.

We decided to try to raise some cash to contribute to this amazing cause and have a little treat along the way.

Now, anyone who has ever been lucky enough to visit Smithfield market in Manchester, at 5am on a damp Thursday morning might be forgiven for thinking that a platter of fairy cakes and a collecting box would elicit little more than the proverbial rotten tomato, but Alas! Wrong!

Fairy cakes went down a STORM with chocolate muffins playing a supporting role for the slightly more masculine palate :)

Back at Noonesfresh HQ, we dressed up in Pink and donated some pennies to sit around and eat cake for a little bit of the day.

So anyway, the result.

We raised £150 to begin with, which Mike and Maggie then supplemented with another £75 bringing the Grand Total to!!!

£225!

Massive thanks to everyone who got involved and donated. We really appreciate it :)

Much Love

A Pumpkin is not only for life, its for rigorous and intense competition...

So we decided to reinstate the pumpkin carving competition for one more week....and Dear Me did we light a fire under some of our lovely chefs ( no pun intended :) !

Entries from Mike Jennings @ Suzanna's, Sandra at Dunham, Annie at the Olive Branch, Nick at The Parlour Bar, Drew at SoulMate, Carl at Nutters and the Giant on the Doorstep @ Nutters!

Sneakily mingled in there is a Noonette effort and a little shot of Mike and Lucy Noonette out  raising £££ on Smithfield market for the Breast Cancer Campaign (More to come!), at the very crack of dawn...

After much deliberation, soul searching and heated argument, our panel of expert judges (Maggie and Sam, in case any one wondered, not that Anyone was even a tiny bit bitter about the results :)) made their decision.......

And the winner is...

Mr Mike Jennings!!!

Everyone who took part will receive a tiny treat this week so keep your eyes peeled for Sam in her Noonemobile :)

So the only question remains...what shall we do next week!

A Pumpkin is not just for Halloween...

As some of our customers will be aware, last week we ran a cheeky little comptetiton to see who could use their cheffy knife skills to carve the best pumpkin...the winning entry is below;

But we also thought that a late entry from Louie Tait was Gorgeous ( not even a little bit influenced by his being the CUTEST child ever!!!)

SO... we have decided to throw it out there again. Can anyone beat these? ANYONE??? We shall see!

We also have pumpkins and squash for eating in stock this week;

Not just for hacking to bits to entertain! These are fab, tasty and oh so seasonal, prices and info, as ever, from our lovely office girls.
Much Love,

Noonesfresh
